boys of winter
Decent story of the 1980 Miracle on Ice. I really like how the book was set up. We listened as an audiobook. I had a hard time keeping up with all the names. Would probably be better on kindle or hard copy.
the catcher in the rye
It was a classic. I read it. The end. “That killed me.”
“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you’re all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it.”
** I do not wish that JD Salinger and I were friends. Just like the quote.**
the girl who drank the moon
Great audiobook. The narrator was very engaging. Coy loved this one!
a wrinkle in time
Read this to get prepared for the movie coming out, which I did not see. I heard it was terrible. I didn’t want to ruin the book.
America’s first daughter
Very interesting story of the Jeffersons. It is incredibly sad when you step back and think about what all she endured in her lifetime.
The Alice network
This one was excellent. Great audiobook. If you like WWII historical fiction, you’ll like this one.
present over perfect
Women, mothers… you need to read it.
before we were yours
Heart wrenching. One of the best books I have read all year. Its got some tough stuff concerning child abuse, so it is not for the faint of heart. It is based on actual events that happened in Memphis.
“This is a story of how a Baggins had an adventure, and found himself doing and saying things altogether unexpected.”
“You certainly usually find something, if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after.”
